The Static Archery Range

The static archery range is typically used for archery practice and archery events. This range has a set firing line with frames that bags can be hung on at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards. It is the perfect range to fine tune your skills and grouping at different distances. 

The Walk Through Course 

The brand new 20 station walk through course is just shy of 1/2 of a mile long at 868 yards. This course offers challenging life like shots between 10 yards and 65 yards. With upward and downward angle shots, as well as challenging shots through oaks and pines. This is a perfect course for a family to come out and enjoy quality time together, or an archery competitor to come practice for their next archery shoot, or the avid hunter who wants to prepare for their next big game hunt!

NRA Whittington Center Member

• Fee of $5.00 per person per day in addition to an NRA Whittington Center Membership. Become a Member Here.
• Fees can be paid at the Front Gate

Informal Daily Range Fee (non-member)

Hours

Archery Range Regulations for both the static range and the walking course

1. Never point a bow and arrow at another person.
2. Never nock an arrow until you are on the shooting line and ready to shoot.
3. Never shoot when you cannot see where the arrow will land.
4. Never shoot until you are positive no one is front or behind the targets.
5. Red range flag must be raised prior to using the range.
6. Any compound, recurve or long bow allowed.
7. EYE protection is recommended for everyone on or in close proximity to the firing line.
8. The only safe place is behind the firing line.
9. All shooting must be done from the formal firing line.
10. Before going down range to retrieve arrows ensure the entire range is clear and safe.
11. When pulling the arrows out of the target, stand to one side and insure that no one is directly behind you.
12. Watch for wildlife on the range – declare a cease-fire when required.
13. DO NOT remove any targets from this range.
14. NO alcoholic beverages will be allowed on or behind any firing line or in any building adjacent to any range while any firearm is present on the range. Violators will be escorted from the range.

Equipment Restriction

1. Broadheads are not permitted on this range.
2. Absolutely no crossbows are permitted on this range.
3. Anyone caught shooting broadheads at any target will be charged full replacement value of the targets AND escorted from the Center.
