Mac is a retired New Mexico State Law Enforcement Park Ranger with 27 years of service.
During his career, Mac worked as a Marine enforcement Ranger, Field Ranger, Park Manager and Park Superintendent.
Mac also served as New Mexico State Parks Division Lead Firearms instructor for 18 years, Glock and AR-15 Armorer and active shooter instructor. In these positions, Mac trained all levels of law enforcement and military officers from basic recruits to seasoned field personnel.
Mac is also a veteran, serving in the United States Air Force for four years. His primary AFSC was aircraft weapons specialist on the F-16 falcon. He also had working knowledge of all US and Soviet aircraft weapons including nuclear systems. He worked in several combat fighter wings, training wings before leaving the service in 1989.
Mac currently is an NRA certified Firearms instructor and teaches courses in Basic pistol, rifle, shotgun and CCW.
He is also a certified USA Archery level II Instructor/Coach, and teaches courses in basic archery.

The NRA Basic Rifle Course introduces students to safe responsible firearm ownership and the fundamentals of Rifles.
The NRA Basic Shotgun Course introduces students to safe responsible firearm ownership and the fundamentals of Shotguns.
All Whittington-U courses are taught on 360 degree ranges where dynamic movement, defensive posture and the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship are emphasized.
Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles.
